stock event problems

I have an activeX control in an SDI program of mine. I wish to catch when the user clicks on it. Will this already have the stock event that I want (Click)? If it has this built in already how do I use it. If not how do I put this functionality in. I know I can add an event in class wizard - ActiveX tab - events, but it always stays greyed out no matter which class I choose from the drop down list.
Can someone please help me as I have had this problem for ages.
