ActiveX and Multi View SDI

I created a Multi View SDI Framwork with a Docking Toolbar that controls the selection of the active view. Three of the four views contain the same OLE component but use different settings (XGrid Control showing different columns for each view). I don't have the source for the control (placing it on a form) but would like changes applied in one view to be reflected in the other views with the same control (?!!). If the object was created using code I could probably initiate it from within CDoc but in this case ... ? Can I prevent the views from being destroyed and exchange the Object Data between them ?
