Hello world,

does either MFC or Windows NT itself set a limit for the maximum number of CDocument-derived instances within a program?
My MFC application creates a lot of frame windows at runtime, each of which has its own CDocument-derived and CView-derived class.
But at a certain point (with about 250 active CDocuments) I get the message box "error creating an empty document" and no more windows are created. This happens far before I run out of memory, so I guess there is a limitation of either windows or the MFC?!

Who can help?

Must be MFC because Windows doesn't even know MFC exists.
