Easy question

Any help on how to detect the character left or right of the caret is greatly appreciated.

Please be more specific in you question. If possible paste a few lines of the code you are working on into the message window to help use see what you are trying to do. For instance, do you want to get the characters from a CString, basic_string, or what?
