Click to See Complete Forum and Search --> : Q: What is the deference between COM and DCOM? Jim Chou April 26th, 1999, 05:22 PM Thanks a lot! Jim Chris Wheeler April 27th, 1999, 09:10 AM Davide Marcato in Visual C++ Developers Journal states it as so on page 43 of the Dec/Jan 99 issue: "(DCOM is) A wire protocol of COM that enables COM objects to be deployed transparently over a network." My understanding is that it is the distributed processing version of COM. See if you can find some info at www.vcdj.com. It's a great Visual C++ developer resource. Best of luck. Chris R.
