Creating webcam applications

hi guys.. i am a student who is quite a newbie in visual studio.. i have learnt the basics of VB and windows application during my school time..

but now.. i am attached to this company for my final year project. i am required to do a webcam application..

but i dun even noe how to start about it. can anyone please help me along? or give me tutorial links? i have been into codeproject and sourceforge for weeks but there was no help..

i am using visual studio 2005 and sorry for my bad english.

A webcam application.

That could mean just about anything. Describe the requirements, the expected results, what tools you can use, and who will use it.

Then break it into steps, writing down everything that you need to do.

Then start coding it. When you run into trouble, post your code, and THEN a specific question.
