VXD programming

I want to know does VC++ 5.0 provides the DDK utility to write VXDs in build or we'll have to install some other s/w (DDK) for the same. If we require separate s/w for the same ,can u suggest me the name of the s/w & from where can I get it.
Please give me references for VXD prog. ,name of books or Internet site from where I can get the some tutors on related topics.
