enhancements in WMP 9.0

I have Windows Media player 9.0 that I'm using to play back AVIs.

I need to control the playback speed & was told that this control can be found under enhancements.

So I try to View > Enhancements > Show Enhancements, but nothing happens.
Coincidentally, I can't seem to switch to Full mode. It looks like only Skin mode is active.

Anyone know what's going on ?

First off, you should upgrade. Windows Media Player 9 is 6 years old. Why don't you upgrade to version 11 or 12?
