Dear Sir,
Hope you can help me out with a problem:
I've develope an application using the MSComm32 Active X. I've managed to implement it successfully on my PC. But when it comes to running the executable file on my friend's PC which does not have Visual C++ installed, a message "Failed to create empty document" appears. I have in fact, copied the necessary shared DLLs to the WINNT/SYSTEM32 directory. But I'm not too sure whether there are any other requirements... Please provide me some enlightenment on how to solve this problem, as installing Visual C++ on my friend's computer would not be practical... I've tried it on other PCs with Visual C++ installed and the application works fine...
What are the necessary steps to go through if I were to develop an application and run it as an executable file on another PC without Visual C++. Hope to hear from you soon. Thanking you in advance.
Jason.
