Making the same ADO version

I have two different versions of ADO on the production server and the developement server. The prod server has ADO 2.0.3003.23, the dev has 2.10.3711.9, I want to change the ado version on the development server, how can I do that. I already installed MDAC 2.0, sp2 on the dev machine, which was installed on the prod machine, as it hosts the site server. This did not change the version OF ADO.

Service Pack 3 for Visual Basic includes ADO 2.1 (Mdaq_typ.exe): just exactly the file you want.
You have to install this file and you are ready!
Where to find ServicePack3 ? Microsoft has it on it's site available for download! Good luck!

P.S. Windows 2000 include ADO 2.5!!!

I do not want to change the prod version as it hosts the site server and site server has problem with MDAC 2.1, I had the sp3 and that had installed mdac_typ. what I want is to degrade the version on the dev server from 2.10.3711.9 to 2.0.3002.23, I already tried to install mdac_typ20_sp2 which is the recomended for site server on the dev machine but that does not degrade the verion, do I have to manually un register and downgrade the files.
