Visual Studio 97 Macro stopped working

Does anyone have a idea why the Comment/Uncomment Macro has stopped working - from my tests it seems the which ever files contains the definition for the dsExtent etc. constants seem to have disappeared - nothing new has been installed on the machine to my knowledge.

any suggestions will be welcome.
