I have Vista installed on my computer. The CD embeds the product key inside, I didn't enter any pk during installlation, and there wasn't any notice to state that I was installing a trial or so, it got activated by default. I have used Vista for months before it stopped working a couple of hours ago. Before that, my mbr had got some problem, I had to use boot recovery function to bring Vista booter back, then I discovered that everytime the OS options loaded, I saw
"Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate (TM) (recovered)" as the option to get in.
So I'd like to know, where is that "(recovered)" coming from ? after the recovery ? Sure, because it had never appeared before.
And today, the system says I am not using a genuine copy of Vista, I have tried to search through the Vista CD the product key, but fails to meet any. Sad, I am out of Vista to be sure.
Thank you
