Los Angeles based, Internet Brands (NASDAQ: INET), is currently seeking an enthusiastic, experienced Junior to Senior Level Java Developers to help us build the next generation of CarsDirect.com. The ideal candidate will have experience using Java in a fast-paced internet/e-commerce environment, with a strong ability to prioritize tasks with minimal guidance, and communicate effectively with both technical and business personnel.
Responsibilities:
• Develop a product platform for high-volume consumer websites for a high-profile, nationally recognized, profitable internet company.
• Work with leading platforms including Java EE, Spring, Hibernate, and Oracle.
• Work closely with product management in defining new product features and specifications.
• Work with Quality Assurance to test functional product features.
• Work with web operations on deployment of new releases and application management.
Qualifications:
• 4- 7 years direct Java (J2EE) experience with an emphasis on server side development in a dot-com/web environment.
• 1-2 Years Team Lead or Technical leadership experience.
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
• Proven ability with web development in Java.
• Fluency in Hibernate or similar ORM framework.
• Fluency in Spring or similar Dependency Injection framework.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and listening skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences, including non-technical.
• Strong technical and design skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-effort, dynamic work environment.
• Fast learner of new and emerging technologies.
• Self motivated and ability to drive features to delivery.
• Experience working in a team development environment.
• Management and/or mentoring experience a plus.
• Knowledge of AJAX and AJAX frameworks a plus.
• Knowledge of shell and other scripting languages (Python, Groovy, Scala, Erlang or Ruby).
