As we know asp.net application is generally hosted on IIS.
but if application is not hosted on IIS then also we can run it on our local machine ...Can anyone please explain ..how asp.net works in this case?

hey,
I found out there is internal web server on which asp.net application runs!!when it runs it gives port number on localhost like http://localhost:3323 (any port number)
