Last few weeks I have been testing OCI call interface with VC++ 6 and Oracle 8.
Reason is that I need as fast connection as possible in client server project where response time is critical.
I had no time to really test performance between different tecnologies and it would be really nice to know if somebody has done. Also it would be nice to hear any other comments about OCI. It is low level inteface and needs more progamming to adapt it to OO environment, but it works and with just Oracle client installed. But how it works in hard server use and is it really fastest way to connect to Oracle8 from VC++ in NT.
