Startup Makros in Word

I have an dot file in the startup directory from word. So if the user starts word the file is open automaticly, but I have an open and a close event but the makros only works when the user opens a new document or closes a document. When I make a doc file it works great, the open event fires when the user opens the document.
But the document should be opened automaticly.

Are there any other events I can use, or what have I done wrong
