(URGENT) CAB file doesn't install (IE5)

Hello:
I am trying to package an activex DLL in a cab file.
I put the cab file in the codebase attribute of the object tag.
When I load the html page in IE5, I see on the status bar that IE is
trying to install components from
the CAB, but nothing gets installed!!
D:\winnt\occache doesn't have anything! And since nothing is installed,
the activex component
is never retrieved and registered.

Any ideas on what might be wrong?
