Using MCI device to play MP3

I am curious if anyone has used the mci api to play an mp3 i am trying by using type digital video but it returns errors if anyone has an example of using mci to run an mpeg i would greatly appreciate it

I tried to use active movie control and some other one (forgot which one), and I had no problems listening to MP3s and other sound files.
