capture incomming text

i have been trying to connect to an java bassed communication program with a webbrowser control and receiving the text. I do not know how I can do this. I dont think I can do this using a winsock control because the winsock control doesn't have java. if anyone knows what i'm talking about and has any ideas to get the incomming text i would appreciate hearing some :) also, how can i send out?
