Project Settings.

I have an workspace with 3 projects in it..out of which 2 are exe and one is DLL. I am using certain files which are common to the executable projects. In that whenever I load any resource I have a problem...the program doesn't load the proper resource at run-time. Is there any project setting which can help me in this matter. I saw the in the Resource tab of Project Settings which has an Additional resource include directories option..but that doesn't seem to work here.
