Does anybody know how to remove a control from the toolbar?

Does anybody know how to remove a control from the toolbar? This is driving me crazy. Why can't do they have to make this so difficult been looking for an answer for days now...Could someone please help me.

Oh, it;s very easy!
you may drag it out the ctoolbar ctrl.

That does not seem to work for me. Could you please be more spcigic about draging it out.Like where am I supose to drag it too. I want to delete the control after all.
