Changing Browser Navigation Display

Is there a way i can change the dotted box that appears in a link inside a browser window to display a different box? I mean if i am exploring using IE or Netscape and i used the <TAB> key to navigate, there is a dotted box which appears indicating the selected link...can i change this into a thick line or highlight instead?
