Floating Menu

I want to disable a menu item in the Floating Menu at run time .
The Menu pad of the Main Menu bar and floating menu is same ( command ID's are same). If either of the menu items of this menu pad is disabled , only the menu item of the menu pad of the main menu bar gets disabled but not the same menu item of the floating menu
