EM_GETSEL does not include newlines ;(

Hello,

I need an edit control to return the current caret position INCLUDING newlines. But the current CEdit class
(or the winapi EDIT class) returns the caret position ignoring any newlines. Does anybody know how to retrieve the caret including newlines?
