How to create files in Multilingual Environment ? Urgent

We are using a file automatically created the application...But it names chaanges when we use a German computer, it it any way to solve this problem..Because the german name is not understandable to the programme....
e.g the file we create is abc.txt ...In German computer it changes to abd.fgh so application is not able to find this file...

Please reply ASAP....Your help will highly be appreciated.

Can you please eloborate your problem?!

I too work on multi-lingual stuff. I work in japanese env. and program in english!, using Jap. VB. and i usally dont find any problem. I may be able to help you.

You could use a compiler switch to change between the file names, (if you know then before hand.)

Language environment, as such should not give you a problem. That's what is the whole thing about unicode etc.
