Real time field update

Hi,

I have a text box that displays an Encoder output is is updated every few seconds (using the timer control). My problem is that when my program is in some sort of a look or when it is runing code the endcoder text box is not updated.

Have you tried a 'DoEvents' in your big loop ? You do need windows to carry on processing background tasks now and again.
