We currently use Visual SourceSafe but we're looking to port to UNIX and want a source control system that will work on both on both platforms. Any recomendations?

I think it is most well-suited for large installations because it is very complex - probably overkill for a small shop. Win32 GUI and command line front ends are available. Most servers run the UNIX version of the CVS server, but an NT version is also available. There are various utilities to integrate it with the Visual C++ IDE.
