msflexgrid not working on windows 7

hi all,
I have used msflexgrid in my application but problem is that after installation it is working on windows xp but not in windows 7 platform. what can be the reason? Does i have to install plugins for that to work.

I know this is dated. But, there are two things to try. I am assuming that your version of Windows 7 is x64?

If so, there could be a mismatch between the actual location of the .ocx and where the registry is pointing to.

See which directory the .ocx is actually in. 32 bit stuff should be in SysWow not System32.

Whichever folder it is in run regsvr32 from inside that folder and attempt to register it where it's at.

It might help to copy the entire filename first. :)

You can use [Shift]+right-Click on the Folder name to open a Command Prompt there.

If it fails you will have open a Command Prompt using Run as Administrator and navigate to the appropriate folder.

Which is another problem I've had, not running older setups As Administrator sometimes fails or doesn't write to the registry. (Thank You UAC)

Lastly, at home I actually have troublesome .ocx in both Folders.
