How to create a MS Word Doc from scratch using some Windows API?

Hello Everyone,

Can anybody advise me on how to create a MS Word Doc from scratch using some Windows API?

My requirement is that I have some text, header, tables and some circles, squares, triangles to be drawn on text to be inserted in a document. The text will come from screen or some other document.
