Algorithm help - Stable roommat problem (I think!)

Hi

I am a postgrad student and need an algorithm that will allow me to perform something similar to the stable roommate problem. I need to pair one set of data (with 6 preferences).

Can anyone help? My knowledge of programming is very basic!
