Eventhandler for docking notebook into dockingsation

Hello all,

does anybody know how I can catch the event, when the notebook gets docked into the dockingstation?
I need that for the following problem:
Our users have all the same notebooks with several dockingstations, so they can uses any dockingstation they want to use.
If the user docks his notebook into a "new" - for the notebook unknown - dockingstation, the notebook creates a new LAN-Connetion with using DHCP.
To be able to work they need a static IP-Address, Subnet and Gateway.

For setting the network-Connection I have already the needed code.
But, how can I recognise, when the user docks his notebook into a dockingstation?
