Send signal SEGV to crash a running process in Windows .
Hi ,
I need to do an equivalent of kill -11 <pid> in windows.
I need to crash a process with SEGV . Is there any tool by which we can do this .
Also is there any sample code through which we can achieve this .
Please do let know .

Hi ,
Yes i mean to send a signal (segmentation fault )to terminate a process and also to dump core for SEGV (segmentation fault) , not not just terminate the process. taskkill in windows just terminates the process , but the terminating process does not dumps core.

inject a bit of code that'll cause a segfault. THere's plenty of topics about possible ways to inject code into another process.

Surely Windows is not Linux. And something tells me your ultimate goal goes beyond just taking core dumps. So, it would be much more productive for you to explain your real needs here.

I was sort of assuming he wanted to get aa SEH to result in a minidump to see what the exe is doing.
Then again, there's easier ways to do THAT. just attach your debugger to the process and break all.
