Removing first post after problem has been resolved
Hello,
I've seen a couple of threads of late where the OP has edited the first post after the problem has been resolved. The edit usually removes the question and replaces it with the word "resolved" or something, which then rendered the rest of the thread useless.
Is there something that can be done about this to prevent this from happening?
Edwin.
Re: Removing first post after problem has been resolved
We could prevent people from editing their posts; however, that would cause more issues than it would help.
I suggest you email or PM a mod or me with the URL of the thread when you see this happen. We will then address it with the OP. Obviously one of the value of the forum is the history that is left for other people to search through and read!
Brad!

Just curious.. are all edits retained by the database , so the mods can salvage the original contents ?

No. We'd have to go to backups of the forum to make any salvages.

I'd like to volunteer for that duty - NOT.
