I need to incorporate a calendar into a windows forms app, please help?

I am creating a personal appointment app for a beginning c# class. I am stuck on making an (possibly interactive) attractive calendar. I would like to be able to toggle through day/week/month views. I imagine it looking similar to Outlook. I am using Visual Studio 2012. All I can do is to add the useless calendar control. I have included a screenshot of my app so far. On the right side is where I would like the calendar view. I've seen examples, but they are all for .net 2.0/3.0. How can I create an attractive calendar?
