I went trekking from the bottom of the hills to one of the peaks called Kehlstein at 1835 m above sea level - a really strenuous climb at 25% incline - one that most people avoid by taking a bus to the top. Being frisky as we could be, we decided to walk it ourselves! Apart from the great trek, the view all along the way was so much worth it!
(Those people in the bus don't know what they missed!)

Here is how the world looks from this peak...

The lake you see in the background (in the photos above and below) is The Koenigsee (literally translated: King's Lake). The water here is so clean and clear that it is said to be of drinking-water quality!

Initially I had planned taking a swim in this lake what with the day time temperatures being a pleasant 28°C. But, my mind quickly changed when I dipped my feet in the water. It took some serious rubbing to bring them out of my closest experiences with frost-bite. :D

This lake is created by the valley as you would see below...
