Can I customize a dialog's menubar? I mean, change it's position, and/or add visual elements by drawing into it?

I had the same problem, so just use a vector or an array, and set the position in there as data to each specific itemrow. So you can even sort and you do not lose the connected data.

I can only repeat my questions, I asked in the subject: How works a Sock4/5 firewall for a FTP connection?

Wow, thank you. That was it!
But can I change my applications scaling into the usual 100%? (large fonts are 125%, but the user could also set an custom percentage)
If I could do that, I'd not have...

I have the problem that my applications seems to use different (really weird) proportions on some systems. That is not the main problem, because I don't care if the dialog is a little bigger. But...

I'd have to restart a thread (CWinThread) while it is at work, means while it waits for a function to return a value.
All I can do right now is to terminate the thread, but then I cannot restart...

That's not a matter of your source code, only of the request you have sent to the server.
You should send more information to the server at all, for example this:
GET...

That's really all about the proxy? I did not think it could be that easy. Thank you very much!
If there is really only to connect to the proxy instead of the host, and to send my request-header as...

I am using a usual CSocket to connect to a webserver and to fetch files. My problem is just, that I want it to be supporting proxy/firewall without using the WinInet Classes.
Do you have tipps how...

Why don't you just use the right click event?
Look into the class wizard, and then add something like this:
CMenu menu;
menu.LoadMenu(IDR_MENU_FOR_LIST);
CMenu* popup = menu.GetSubMenu(0);...

I'd like to erase the background of my dialog (right now, using Invalidate()), but it should not affect the controls so they do not redraw either. SetRedraw(FALSE) does not work, but perhaps someone...

Thanks for reply, but that's not what I wanted to do. Of course I wanted to have my own menu, but in this menu the menu items of the original control's menu should be included! And that's my problem....

Can I get a pointer to it and simply add it?
Or...

I had a quite similar problem, but in Microsoft Knowledge Base you can find under Q193101 that there is a bug for using sockets in threads.
In my case I got an assertion failure in debug modus. If...

I had also some difficulties with posting messages from threads while I used a worker thread. I can just give you the hint to use a UI thread.
