VBScript Re: Restart Modem script help

It's worth reading up on how sub-routines and procedures work: http://www.w3schools.com/vbscript/vbscript_procedures.asp

VBScript Re: Restart Modem script help

Your requirement is to check to see if the PC is on DHCP, and if NOT then it sets a static IP, connects to the modem, then sets itself back to DHCP, correct?
So put your code into a sub-routine and...

VBScript Re: Restart Modem script help

Yes, the index is 7. In fact in all my example scripts I used 7 so you can just use them verbatim.
Note that it doesn't have 2 IP addresses - but it COULD have!

VBScript Re: Restart Modem script help

Your PC probably has multiple IP addresses, so you need to find the index of the adaptor that you're really interested in. You can do this by opening a command prompt and typing:
    WMIC PATH...

xHTML Re: I need a tutor

Have you looked online for teaching resources? This site: http://www.w3schools.com/ is, in my view, absolutely brilliant for starting off, and is free.
That will teach you HTML which is the basic...

VBScript Re: Looping SendKeys with a variable Max

I don't know about the SendKeys part, but there are a couple of typos in the script. This line should be:

    SQL_STD_ORDERS = "SELECT TKT_NO FROM [DEMOLAWN].[dbo].[VI_PS_DOC_HDR] where TKT_NO = '"...
  8. JavaScript Re: Javascript/Jscript.NET :How do I replace a string to a search query only once?

Okay, then you need to find the location of the start of the query string (so the question mark) and strip out everything else to the right and replace it with the new query string as it's not...
  9. PHP Re: Need help or suggestion in making a website app

I've never used this but geolocation is a function of HTML5 so a good starting point, as always, is W3Schools: http://www.w3schools.com/html/html5_geolocation.asp
And a web search produced a little...
  10. JavaScript Re: Javascript/Jscript.NET :How do I replace a string to a search query only once?

If you work through what your code is doing, it does make sense. Say the first time the URI is
http://foo/search?q=bar you're then replacing the "?q=" with the "?q=+test1+test2+test3" so it now...

Re: get values from a multi row select list box

I strongly suggest making a new post, however, in the interests of getting to the answer quickly, within the body section you'll want a button, give it an ID, for example "btnReboot", so your code in...
  12. JavaScript Re: Windows 7 Gadget Programming with Javascript or JScript?

Having a quick play with this, assuming you're reading the first line from your .DAT file, this script section should work:

    Re: XMLHttpRequest on Safari

You have a typo - it should be "responseText" not "responsetext", plus you need to test that there is a response and it's "OK" before you try doing anything with it:

    Re: Chrome - jquery headache

Try it - it should work! Assuming that the webserver supports the Access-Control-Allow-Origin header which it probably does (or can be made to).

    Re: Chrome - jquery headache

Run it from a web server. It appears to be a Chrome bug to do with CORS (cross origin sharing) : http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=67743

    Re: Chrome - jquery headache

JavaScript Re: Sort Select list in numerical order

Then your sort function will need to handle that. I've rewritten it to make it more readable:

JavaScript Re: Sort Select list in numerical order

Your sort function is purely for text. If you want to sort numerically then the function should read:

Re: Capturing AJAX on the Web Client

If you just want to grab the Ajax content and use it in place of the current body, then use the shorthand Ajax method:

    $('body').load('redirected.html');
