No we don't eat them, but there is a common practice (a strange one, in my opinion) where a doctor will slice off pieces of one's nose in order to make it smaller.

Take a look at the notification message LVN_ODSTATECHANGED.
You can check the new state (uNewState in the NMLVODSTATECHANGE structure) and display the appropriate image with SetItem.
