    Re: How long is your build?

    We are? I would think as hardware becomes faster and multi-core processors are everywhere, we'd be spending less time compiling. How long a build takes depends on what I'm building and what...

    Re: Debugger error - ftol3.asm not found

    It's not likely you need to step so far into the code that you're down in the assembly language sections. Just don't step into something you don't have the source code for. Use F10 instead of F11.

    Re: C++ circular buffer

    I think your problem is here
    if ((head == 0 && tail == length - 1) || (head == tail + 1))// Check for buffer overflow

    Shouldn't it be

    if ((head == 0 && tail == B_L- 1) || (head == tail +...

    That code doesn't compile, but it sounds like it's time to learn to use the debugger.

    Re: C++ circular buffer

    Produce is defined as accepting three ints as arguments. You're passing a struct as the first.

    Consume and Show are defined with no arguments. You're passing three.

    buffer_head is undefined....
  8. Re: error: two or more data types in declaration specifiers

    I get "fatal error C1070: mismatched #if/#endif pair in file". If I add another #endif, it compiles cleanly.
  9. Re: Getting Free Disk Space of certain directory

    The pointers you're passing as arguments aren't initialized.

    Re: Account exercise - Inheritance

    Clearly your code isn't doing what you think it is. Two of us have told you what's wrong. Perhaps you should change your code and watch it work.

    If you're trying to use default values your...

    Re: Account exercise - Inheritance

    I believe a bank would calculate your interest at the end of each day, but I could be wrong. I doubt it's any more granular than that.

    Re: Account exercise - Inheritance

    I mentioned your interest formula being incorrect a few posts back. In addition to what I said, the requirement says compute the interest every day. Doing it the way you are isn't how interest is...

    Re: Account exercise - Inheritance

    You may want to check this formula

    set_balance(get_balance() * 0.03 / 30 * get_day_in_month());

    If the balance is 1500, you'll have
    1500 * .03 = 45.0
    45.0 / 30 = 1.5.
    That will be...

    Re: Account exercise - Inheritance

    Ideally though, daily_interest should still be a virtual function in the base class. The problem is once again, he's declared a function but no implemented it.

    Actually, I should restate my former post. Since temp is your output file, it should contain records that don't match the one you want to delete. You should should write the input record to the...

    Re: How to delete records in .txt file

    exit terminates the program. Inserting them randomly in your code is really bad practice. If you just want to terminate a loop, use 'break".

    In your case though, you just want to keep lopping...

    The errors are just what they say they are. You've declared three functions but never implemented them.

    This is why gawd invented debuggers.

    }
