  1. Re: Getting exceptions on Windows 7 and Windows 8 on different parts of the Code

You could start by figuring out what the exceptions are. Nobody here can help you given the lack of details.

    Re: Can't understand the question

God is a class you'd write yourself. They've told you what the members should be.

add_ordered() is a function you'd add to the Link class that would insert your new God object in the list so...

Re: Converting JAVA for loop to C++ for loop

Sorry. I seem to be doing more harm than good. What do you mean by "doesn't work"?

It should work as a two dimensional array, but shouldn't the size be m*n?

Re: Converting JAVA for loop to C++ for loop

Yeah. That should work. Sorry, didn't look closely. Your loop code looks okay, but field is a two dimensional array. You need to access it like one. The code in the first snippet should work.

    Re: add to listbox thread

Rather than a thread, you may want to use a Virtual List Control, or at least set SetRedraw to FALSE while you're loading it.

Re: [Help] If & Else if & else

I hope the fix was realizing 4 isn't a valid index for var.

Re: Need smart card programmers advices

VC++ isn't something you can learn over night. Get a good book and work through it. If you have no experience, getting something done by the end of the month isn't a realistic goal.
  12. Re: Breaking up large class into manageable source files

    To call a non-static member function of a class, you need an instance of that class. If Initialize is a member of Form1, then all you need is AddDate("abs",1);

    FWIW, I wouldn't go putting...

    Re: MFC List Control Position

I've never seen them do that before. What's the class of the window that contains the control? Did you place it using the resource editor?

    Re: Help With This Program

Note than in a few places you have << << with no variable between. Your code compiles for me if you add the #include and fix the variable names and the duplicate <<.

At this point I'd be looking for memory corruption somewhere else in your program. CString::Empty works. You've probably stepped on something that's making your program act strangely but without...

I don't think so. If he calls Empty, that trace statement shouldn't still print the sting.
  20. Re: How to use TextOut without processing WM_PAINT?

So what's your current issue? You can call TextOut any time you want if the window exists.
  21. Re: How to use TextOut without processing WM_PAINT?

Sigh. You can draw any time you like, but the window has to be there. Your issue was trying to draw on a window that wasn't visible.
