    I'm creating a random access file. When counting the different variables to get the length of the file, how much should I enter for a date variable?

    For example

    type guest
    name as string *...

    Dim my variables

    I was just wandering should I dim my variables in a form? If I don't, it still does the calculation but should I do it anyway?

    I was just wandering. When I have vb6 do mathematical calculations, should I dim my variables as integers or do I not dim them. It works both ways but I was just wandering.
