Using .NET 4.6 on Win7(64bit). I have a relatively simple xml data set:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
Further searching reveals a simpler method that doesn't involve importing user.dll stuff.

Thank you, Hannes. But it seems liking "bringing the mountain to Mohammed" instead of the other way around. I was hoping for a solution that automatically manipulated the form controls and graphics...
If I develop a C# winform app on a high resolution screen, then try to run it on a lower resolution screen, the graphics can be quite distorted, essentially destroying the interface, or at least...

Drawing on picture box images D*****hka Madushan lk, 24 Jan 2012
Loading a bitmap image onto a picturebox on a WinForm is straightforward. Drawing on that bitmap is a bit trickier, but code is available to do that. The real difficulty is to draw precisely on the...
Thanks for the great information. I'm still learning, but I've become fascinated with C#.
Yes. That works. I've much to learn about organizing classes and using attributes in C#.
Very nice, Arjay. Thanks. I will need some time to work with it. The demo app is 'not compatible' with Visual Studio version 2010, despite the latter having .NET 4.601.. SP1Rel, but runs just fine...

These appear to be correct.
There are lots of subfolders to look at. I found only these NULL under CurrentConfiguration:

One would expect that the skey variable was null when this error is encountered, but as the debug trace shows, both skey and svalue have strings associated as they should in the WriteToAppConfig...

Some of the more sophisticated application like MS Word, Google Chrome, will save files to a folder directory with the same file names. They accomplish this by appending an parenthesized number to...

Please forgive me if I've wasted anyone's time. I found the problem, and it was me. I had set up a LEGACY folder and dragged a number of earlier iterations of the program into this folder should I...

I've been compiling a dialog based program for a number of years using Win 7 (64-bit) Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate. Just this afternoon, for the very first time ever, the compiler complains:

I too have been 'charmed', but I certainly respect your opinion and will reconsider how I choose to model my applications.

There's nothing wrong with being cool. You should try it. :D Seriously, Igor, I find that building code using a wrapper in a DLL forces me to organize...

Actually, I have planned to have both available since once the DLL is constructed, it is relatively easy to link just to the library. Just take away the TAIP_API stuff and include the taip.h header. ...

Thank you for your comments. Most helpful. I remain confused on this point. A pointer to a struct is a POD. From that standpoint, it should be OK to use a struct pointer as a parameter to a DLL...

I have a DLL that uses a struct that is defined in a separate file, misc.h.
