    Re: syntax error

Just to be clear when you are in Access and viewing code what you are actually using is VBA. The IDE does say it is VB6 but it really isn't. VB6 is a different and totally separate animal. VBA does...

    Re: syntax error

I have no idea what bubble is, I don't even know what that code is from. It definitely does not look like VB code, I'm guessing maybe Word VBA but I have never bothered to write code in Word so only...

As I said before the Quotes are what look to be a problem

Those ones I marked in red don;t look like they should be there.

  6. Re: Error : operation is not allowed when the object is open in vb6

I already answered this on VBForums
You are opening you connection twice in the insert sub which is throwing that error
Your insert statement is also incorrect and will throw an error once you fix...

    Re: winsock Acknowledgment control needed

Why would I use CCProxy? If I want to download a file I simply download the file. I have no need nor desire to try and mask myself behind some proxy server. I have written apps that use Winsock to...

Re: Silly Error - Single Form

Did you correct the code I pointed out?

I would expect that code you posted to not even compile due to errors on those lines.

    Re: winsock Acknowledgment control needed

When using Winsock or MSComm or any other control that receives data you should always use a buffer.

I have no idea what that program you linked uses or does but if it sends and receives then it...

    Re: ASCII to Base32

Yes you can not place a string in a byte, nor can you assign a string directly to a byte array. You can turn a string into a byte array which is what you would need to do there.

    Have a look at the...

    Re: winsock Acknowledgment control needed

I'd hate to think I was downloading a 1gb file using dailup speed of 50k. It would take a very very long time. My Connection is 50mb and it still takes a while to download 1GB 50KB would take 1000...

    Re: winsock Acknowledgment control needed

So you want two hosts and no client? That makes no sense.

Where does this message comes from and where is the response going.
Your little diagram looks like the response comes from the internet...

Re: Silly Error - Single Form

    For starters

Dim intSpectators As Integer = 0I
Dim dblGateTakings As Double = 0R
    Dim mintTotal_Spectators as Integer 0I

Those lines are not valid. 0I is not an integer 0R is not a double...

    Re: Debugger Issue

Maybe you are clicking the wrong icon. there is one to run and another to stop.
There are also hot keys for use in debug mode to step into and step over routines.
  15. Re: add text to image in picture box and printing that text

Popping up a text box for them to enter some text is simple.
To place this text on the image and print it is a bit more complicated.

You can either edit the image placing your text into the image...
  16. Re: How to find a word in pdf document and link it to a file in your hard drive.

I assume that when you say "it will take me to a specific file in the my computer" You mean that you either want it to open Windows explorer and navigate to the file or you want it to open that file...
  17. Re: second Form only stays behind of first (“Form Locker”)

I do not see where the second form is being shown but you are using show dialog on the first one which may cause a problem

Re: Multiple access tables vb6 to vb.ner

Can't picture what you are trying to do.
You can get the data from both tables at the same time using a join statement but it is not clear if that would suit your needs or not.
  19. Re: How to find a word in pdf document and link it to a file in your hard drive.

Not sure what you are actually trying to ask.

What do you mean when you say link a file?
  20. Re: Connecting MySQL server's using Crystal Reports via VB6

It should be simple to do but then again back when I used CR I found that even simple things were sometimes a major pain in CR. I dumped it many years ago and have not looked back.

    It should be a...

Re: Resize image resolution in vb6

It is not part of the image property you simply set the control to the size you want. Set stretch to true and load the image. It will auto size to the size of the control.

    But yes if you are...

Re: Resize image resolution in vb6

You say you already tried that but somehow I don't think you did as that would have worked. No code is even required, just set the image control to the size you want and set the properties.

    The...

Re: Resize image resolution in vb6

Have you considered using an image control instead. It has a stretch property which can do this automatically.
There is also a scale property between the two you should be able to do what you want.

    Re: **** Grabbing Macros

When talking about Macros you really should state what app you are working with. VBA varies a bit by what product you are using. I assume in this case you are using Excel VBA.

    I do not code in...

    Re: LocalDB deploy issue

Where are you trying to create the db? Remember program files is protected on Vista and later OSs so you will not have write access if you try to put your db there.
