It does ask for credit card info, it makes a temporary charge with a code. This code is needed ( unfortunately ) in order to proceed. They do refund you. I promise....

Activity 1 is just to watch the video. No other things needed in there.
I haven't had any issues with neither audio nor video. Perhaps your media player needs updating.
