    Impact of Interface changed?

    I am not 100% confident that changing the existing interfaces will not be error-prone.
    Should I discard the new changes for ease of use or
    Adapt to new changes but having a higher risk of...

  10. Re: Is it worthwhile to write an ActiveX module dedicated to drawing charts?

    Thanks.... I don't mind if I could reuse some other's work unless I have to pay a big deal.

  11. Is it worthwhile to write an ActiveX module dedicated to drawing charts?

    I know the user installation must involve some registry manipulations and
    some other trickery. But the ActiveX way seems to be more modular.
    Is it worthwhile to separate the charting modules from...
  12. Re: How to convert a C# module into an unmanaged C++ dll?

    Thanks guys, I've decided to change library to bullet and give up on this.
    This way seems to be easier.
    Thanks

    I am trying to understand the interfaces now, not sure my intention is possible.
    Thanks

  14. How to convert a C# module into an unmanaged C++ dll?

    I am in need to convert some C# code into C++ equivalences.
    But I don't want to spend the efforts to do so.

    I've got a C++ project that needs to be built with the autotools.

  16. Re: What is the correct way of inserting an item into a std::map?

    Thanks, that's so nice of you.
    This is a very clear explanation.

  17. Re: What is the correct way of inserting an item into a std::map?

    how come unordered_map takes only one parameter
    Like this?
    std::unordered_map<Point3> and returns size_t?
    I need an associative container to map a Point3 to a boolean...
    Point3 has x,y and z
    THX
  18. Re: What is the correct way of inserting an item into a std::map?

    struct classcomp {
    bool operator() (const Point3& lhs, const Point3& rhs) const
    {
    if (lhs.x < rhs.x && lhs.y < rhs.y && lhs.z < rhs.z)
    return true;
    else
    return false;

    }
    };

  20. Re: What is the correct way of inserting an item into a std::map?

    Is it true that the key type must be a primitive type (int, char, char* etc) in order to avoid the compare function?
    Thanks
    Jack
  21. What is the correct way of inserting an item into a std::map?

    std::map<Point3, bool> m_mHitMap;

    if (bHit) {
    m_mHitMap.insert(std::make_pair(testRay.p, true));
    }
    else {
    m_mHitMap.insert(std::make_pair(testRay.p, false));
    }

    Thanks
    Jack
  23. Re: Didn't understand these unresolved externals?

    Hmmm, they came with a pathfinding library called Recast.
    I don't want to touch the files, just want to leave them intact.... so just looking for ways to work around it.
    Thanks
    Jack
  24. Re: Didn't understand these unresolved externals?

    In other words, my corridor.cpp just can't see them.
    How can I make them seen?
    As I didn't declare them in a header file, there are compilation errors.
    Thanks
    Jack
  25. Didn't understand these unresolved externals?

    #ifndef _CORRIDOR_H_

    #include <math.h>
    #include <vector>
    #include <algorithm>
    #include "Recast.h"
