    Probably, the problem is inside MemoryManager::Alloc.
    Anyway, MFC has overloaded new operators, enough smart. So, it has no much sense to overload your own, with the risk to lead in headaches, like...

    Re: Symbols already defined (MSVCRTD.DLL)

    In the Project Property pages, go to Configuration Properties / Linker / Input, then add LIBCMTD.lib to Ignore Specific Default Libraries list.
    See also /NODEFAULTLIB (Ignore Libraries) liker option.

    Re: no class view , resource view

    Most possible you've lost the .OPT file which keeps the workspace options in VC6.0.
    See: File Types Created for Visual C++ Projects.
    Just put the missing views back again. The new generated .OPT...

  13. Re: Using an applications window handle in a DLL?

    There is no restriction on using window handles across module boundaries.
  14. Re: char myTree[350000] Bad practice?

    To keep a list of only process names, one can be std::list<std::string>.
    To keep more info for each process, you can define a structure, then make a list having elements of that structure (e.g....

    Re: How to build a _trace function?

    Easier and safer, use CString::FormatV and get rid of headaches.

    void Trace(LPCTSTR szFormat, ...)
    {
    CString strText;

    va_list args;
    va_start(args, szFormat);

  25. Re: CreateFile and Long Path/Files :: Win32

    No, there is not necessary a special tool to create such "long" path files as shown in the OP.
    Besides, note this topic is 12 years old.
    Please, do not resuscitate old threads!
