    Re: Windows 10

So put a link to the videos in your signature line, but please don't reference the links in your posts. If you like you can post in the announcement forum introducing your video channel.

    Re: Windows 10

It is not clear whether you are complaining about VB 2015 or Windows 10. I mention marketing because the YouTube link seems to point to your video channel.

Re: how use GetProp() and SetProp()?

You can avoid these types of errors by doing what Victor suggested and check the return codes for the api's you call.

And by checking the return codes, I mean really check the return codes.

    Re: Windows 10

Is this a marketing post for accessesiblesoft or do you really believe that the latest vb has all those problems?

I don't have any experiences with vb but from what I've seen, the C++ and C# 2015...

    Re: Need help

Unfortunately that isn't a method (as methods need to return either void or a value). It's more like a constructor, but you can't have a non static constructor inside a static class.

    Re: Need help

The code you posted doesn't compile. You need to get the code to compile before it will run.

Re: ListView with CheckBox Alignment Problem

Another way around the 'problem' is to take a different approach and not have the checkbox in its own column. Having it in its own column would allow you to sort on it independently vs if it shared...

    Re: Need help

    Your code is broken.
  11. Re: c# need help reading a file looking for a value and displaying it in textbox ?

You have to assign it to the textbox while the pair object is still in scope.

A quick and dirty way would to set the textbox value where the code makes the Console.WriteLine call.

    Of course...

  13. Re: Objective-C cannot find sqlite3.h in Gnustep

The clue is to use bing or google as much as possible before posting to a forum. The great thing is if you learn how to search properly, you'll save tons of time because you won't have to wait for...

    Re: idle process

It seems like it is very hardware dependent as the fan on my HP laptop rarely kicks in - even when compiling.

At any rate, I'm not sure this is the kind of thing users would know or care about.

  17. Re: Not being able to run LOCAL html file with javascript with IWEBBROWSER2 control

Today, what changed on your system to break it? Installed windows updates? Changed IE settings? Do you have a system restore point that allows you to restore to yesterday?

    Re: idle process

Out of curiosity, why does it matter what the cpu does if it can execute your low priority threads? Also what are you doinf in these threads to put the cpu at 100%?

Re: ListView with CheckBox Alignment Problem

Stil, the width of the first column may be changed (giving the appearance of a centered checkbox). Of course we won't know until someone tries it.

Re: ListView with CheckBox Alignment Problem

Try setting the first column width to something other than the default width to 'center' the checkbox.
  21. Re: Trouble with array (using .ToCharArray(), foreach, char and .WriteLine)

    Please use code tags.

The problem is that you have an extra semi-colon.

    Instead of:

foreach (char zigchar in charArray) ; // bad ';' here
    Console.Write(zigchar);

What do you mean by this? Win32 api covers a lot of ground - even limiting it to hardware. It might be a bit daunting to expose everything.

Re: Two pieces of good news

Interestingly enough, the tiobe index is determined based on the number of internet search hits - so having a high ranking may not necessarily be a good thing.

Joking aside, that is good news.
