    PHP Re: PHP and cookie

A cookie is just a way to store data so that you can use it across multiple sessions. That isn't really going to differentiate the user vs. you. You need a login system or some way to differentiate...

PHP Re: Search mySQL DB with similar words

Have you tried creating individual WHERE...LIKE statements for each word in the user submitted search?

    Untested, but looks right.

    $arrWhere = array();
    $words = explode(' ', $_POST['value']);...

    PHP Re: help w/mysqli

Correct. In fact, this is one of the most common errors you will ever see in PHP. Simply googling "error call to member function" would have helped you solve your problem.

    No where in your code...

Re: "leave page" message when posting

Does the quick reply submit form contents via AJAX? If so, that could be the cause.

Kind of testing that theory with this post.

EDIT: Yes, it's AJAX submission. So technically the form contents...

Re: "leave page" message when posting

It's a built-in browser notification. If you start any type of input into a <form> without submitting the content or resetting the form, any modenr compliant browser will ask you that.

    All that...
  7. PHP Re: [Laravel5/FB] Post links to my Facebook page as the page itself

In initializing a new app session, you have to provide the access token you've acquired via the login API...which you're not doing.

  9. JavaScript Re: Updating chart.js in ajax doesn't render the graph properly

Are you getting any errors in either your PHP error log or your browser's JavaScript console? That's the first place to start.

    Re: mobile

No offense, but that's the problem. It took years to get done. Halfway through 2015 we're adding technology that went mainstream in 2008.

  12. PHP Re: Display “Complete” div when reaches a line or a variable in PHP/HTML code

If your query times out either (1) your query string is bloated causing overwork, (2) you have a very bad database structure, or (3) you are working with databases way too large for your server...

  14. PHP Re: Need help in refreshing a page periodically for a slow-loading results page

You need to separate those two scripts. Can't be the same. Set one to run as a cron job and keep the other script to process user submitted input.
  15. PHP Re: pagination doesn't handle special characters

Sounds like you have magic quotes turned on in your PHP config. Basically, posted forms need to escape out apostrophes in case of SQL injection into databases. Magic quotes handles it automatically...

    Other Re: HTML5 and CSS

Every content management site deals with .htaccess. Since it works fine when the only difference is a renamed folder, that is what would make me think that .htaccess is causing file redirection.

The debugger tells you exactly what's wrong. You're calling upon the variable parts when it is not yet initialized. I'm guessing you're trying to split it into an array but in this case, the...

PHP Re: MYSQL table row styling

First off, you should use echo as little as possible. Just echo your actual variables. That will make your code much cleaner.

Second, what kind of styling are you trying to achieve? It's just...
