    Sorry, I don't think we could help you with this, as you need to be good at least to move on.

    Re: Window help (ignore previous thread)

    Well, I really doubt about that. I gave you just an idea. Now you need to design the model of behavior, i.e. you need to understand what sort of anchoring you need to do what you ultimately need....

    Re: Window help (ignore previous thread)

    What you need is to introduce a concept of anchoring. Say you want to keep initial relative top-left position to right and bottom borders, i.e. when the size changes, the interval between button left...

    Re: Code Style Checking Tool

    Why don't you ask google about this?

    PS. After decades of programming I never was in a situation when paranoid requirements to code style were in effect.
  8. Re: c++ - how can i do a transparent form?

    I have to admit that I fail to understand your question. But whatever effect you run into, this would definitely have nothing to do with layered window transparency.
  9. Re: Help with programming Work (Summation) (Complete beginner)

    You need to stop thinking about programming C/C++ like an incarnation of math. Equation is a pure math concept, while in programming you deal with operation of assignment, where variable of a certain...

    Re: How do I step into SDK source?

    The first thing that comes to mind is that your SDK is built in Release while your need is Debug. Go to SDK bundle and build its Debug version. Include the version into your project, and you'll be...
  11. Re: Integrating WM_HOTKEY with SetWindowsHookEx and WM_KEYDOWN/WM_KEYUP

    I believe you need Low-Level Keyboard Hook with no need in registering hot keys.
  12. Re: c++ - how can i do a transparent form?

    WS_EX_CLIENTEDGE|CS_HREDRAW | CS_VREDRAW

    This is definitely not what you think it is. Here you need only Extended Window Styles. You need CS_ styles in your windows class registration only. And...
  13. Re: Integrating WM_HOTKEY with SetWindowsHookEx and WM_KEYDOWN/WM_KEYUP

    GetKeyState function or GetAsyncKeyState function will let you know the state whenever you need it, inside WM_HOTKEY handler or independent of the one.

    But I have a doubt if you really mean...

    Re: Create an MFC OCX using C++ DLL

    I don't think I could recommend anything better than what plain google search would do. I believe, MSDN, and CodeGuru, and CodeProject sites are good to start with.
  16. Re: What is the correct behavior of list control?

    Not sure if speculation on what should be the most logical in the situation like that would have any value. Anyway, you are not able to change the design of list control. You either find the answer...

    Re: Create an MFC OCX using C++ DLL

    OCX you mention here is just an alias to ActiveX term, which in its turn is an alias to COM in-proc server. So let's talk a bit about COM in-proc servers.

    COM is Windows way to bring OOP to...
  18. Re: Can two functions in same DLL be called by two threads?

    It seems your buffer appears overrun at the moment you start getting random return values, so your problem hardly has anything to do with threading or DLL. It's most probably either true corruption...

  23. Re: Visual Studios .NET 2003 Strange Build Dependencies

    C3861 (identifier not found) is related to incomplete header files.

    What I can imagine as a reason to have this issue in multi-project solution is dynamic header generation, like importing COM...

    Re: Using Casablanca SDKs in C++

    This actually makes no sense to me. Any web page implies the generated HTML code be loaded to browser. Therefore, ASP.NET code execution has a short life cycle strictly limited by HTML code...
