    Re: Wrong output with pointers

    Good!
Now the question: why did you implement your own function
    int len(const char* s)
What was wrong with the standard C-Runtime strlen?

    Re: Wrong output with pointers

Well, if it is your homework and you have to use pointers then learn how to debug your code and debug it to understand what where and why goes wrong.
Otherwise use STL of MFC library to make your...

  13. Re: how calculate nPos when we resize the window?

Sorry, I have no idea what this function is for and where it is about to call from and when.
  14. Re: how calculate nPos when we resize the window?

You do it the same way as you did it earlier. You usually recalculate it under the case WM_SIZE in the window procedure used by the widow you resize.
  15. Re: how calculate nPos when we resize the window?

But who knows what nPos, X, nPage and the nMax are?

    Re: edit box changes color

I guess it is because your procedure does not handle WM_PAINT for edit box.

    Re: edit box changes color

But you don't "process any messages" to youredit box "inside the window proc". Then why do you set it for this control?

    Re: edit box changes color

Why do you want to implement your own window procedure for this edit box? Is it some non-standard one?
  21. Re: [RESOLVED] MFC ListControl InsertItem weird characters

It is because you mixed UNICODE build with ANSI std::string.

Use std::wstring instead (and other std unicode methods).
Or use MFC classes to read the file.
